John Dexter
John Dexter spent time farming in Sussex, then worked in a small business importing, processing and retailing plastics. He spent five years in a merchant bank in the City of London and then thirty as a management consultant in Europe, Africa, South America, Arabia, Japan, and China. His experiences included a spell in Buckingham Palace, expanding the telephone network in north-east Brazil, getting to grips with the finances of East African Airways, and working in TitoÕs Yugoslavia. In his spare time he did duty as a yachting race officer, as afterguard with the Ocean Youth Club taking young people to sea, as an Enterprise Agency business advisor, as a prison visitor. He and his wife Patti have three children (Anna, Dan and Caroline) and five grandchildren.
