Today is Anna's birthday, which is very important to all of us in our family. Caleb tells us he has bought Mummy some new shoes: red and blue they are, and good for climbing!

Tomorrow is Laura's birthday, and so today Tony organised a splendid Sunday lunch party for family and friends: a total surprise to Laura. Tony and Laura went to church as usual, and then at the church door Tony suddenly remembered he had to go back to the house urgently: something to do with his railway layout . . . actually to let into the house Jane and friends who would provide the feast. We guests were all to arrive as Italian noblemen, members of the Russina Mafia, or whatever. Caroline had provided some hair darkening mousse. So here are some pictures.
